Turning 60
Today I am celebrating 60 years on this planet and the completion of my project,
“60 Faces”. Please don’t mistake this face as a sad one, the tear is one of joy! I am enjoying my life immensely! I still feel like a kid (something I hope never changes!) and as long as I can love and laugh with my family and friends and continue making art, I’ll be a very happy girl. My “face” project has been an interesting challenge, forcing me to think outside of myself, while actually working on myself. Coming up with 60 different ideas in a month was a bit of a task as well, but I soon got over trying to look good and let my imagination take over, using some of my favorite artists as inspiration.
Now, I am ready for my next project and looking forward to more of the glorious, beautiful and exciting things life has to offer. Who knows what I’ll come up with for my 70th!
