Most of the sculpture I have done in the past has been in clay but recently I have experimented with cement, papier mache, wood, glass, plaster and metal. Sometimes trying various combinations of media.

This is a work in progress. It is life size and made by actually wrapping a body in plaster bandages. I then coated the surface with “sculptamold”. I am still experimenting with her, not sure exactly what she will look like when finished, but she has a title....

‘Moore of Henry” sold
It is the artist Niki de Saint Phalle who has had a profound influence on the development
of my recent works,“Niki du Bois” and “Niki’s Dance”. It was her large and cheerful “Nanas” with their exaggerated body parts and brilliant, energetic color, that captivated me.
It inspired me to experiment with diverse materials and to create my own. One dances in my garden and the other in my studio. They are my homage to her.
