My love for unique and interesting jewelry, combined with my interest in finding new ways to recycle
used items, gave me an idea. It was on a visit to a nearby shooting range, where people practice target, trap, skeet and sporting clays, that I became more interested in picking up the spent shells than in praising the marksmen! The shiny brass shells screamed “recycle, redesign, repurpose!” instead of “reload!”  I even picked up old rusty shells that had been there for ages!.
After cleaning and spraying with a clear sealer, they have an unusual patina that I really like.  The pendants are made from different caliber spent rifle shells and the earrings are made from 22 caliber spent shells. They are wire wrapped and enhanced with beads and charms. Each piece is unique.
