Although you may see similarities  with my other work , these works are very different in deed!  I am
(as always) experimenting with a new medium, using color, texture, patterns and shapes to create
lively compositions that not only satisfy my visual aesthetic, but are a relaxing form of artistic expression for me as well! This is a joyful exploration into the world of fabrics and fibers. These art pieces were created by “sandwiching” assorted materials in between a transparent, water soluble stabilizer, and then sewing everything together with random stitches on my sewing machine. When the piece is complete, I “de-solve” the stabilizer by submerging the piece in water, then laying it flat to dry. The finished products
are so alive with chaotic designs and visual texture, they begged to be touched!
The center pieces in each row are flanked by close-up views.
